Search information on Google

In our information age, no one is surprised by the huge amount of information that can be found on the pages on the Internet. One of the most used resources for information retrieval is Google. But you can often hear that it is difficult to find the right page /book/file/movie, you have to look through a huge number of search pages when you finally find what you are looking for. So let's try to figure out how to effectively search for information on Google.

So let's try to figure out how to effectively search for information on Google

Like any program in which we enter external data, the Google search engine works according to certain algorithms. And the choice of the algorithm depends on how we write our search query. It turns out that such a request can be set in different ways, and this will allow searching information in Google not only efficiently, but also quickly.

To begin with, consider the possible word operators, that is words that allow you to immediately sort out the information that we are looking for in the network. For example, we know which site is the one or the other document. You can use Google search, find a site, go to it, find a search string on it and again search the site. Unfortunately, not all sites have a search string, and often when you search on the site you immediately get to an external search engine, which already gives out the necessary and, unfortunately, unnecessary information. What to do? To do this, we use the site operator, after which the exact name of the site is indicated after the : sign. With its help, the search for information on Google is conducted only within the specified site and no more. Example search:

Kolobok site: skazoksovsemnet.com

Another useful operator will help you get information as files of a certain format as a result of searching. This primarily concerns the search for formats of documents and books - doc, pdf, djvu. To do this, Google uses the mime operator. After it, we also specify the desired document format via the colon. Example:

Great mime recipe book: pdf

But we can also search for information in Google with language restrictions. For example, we are not interested in descriptions and sites where foreigners write about our favorite printer, mainly in English. We want to read only in Russian. For such a search, use the lang operator effectively. Of course, you need to know how this or that language is denoted in the language bar, and then simply specify the search phrase:

MojLyubimyjPrinter 123A lang: com

We will remind that the Belarusian language will be designated as be, Ukrainian - ua, English - en, German - de, French - fr.

Another type of operator that helps the search is operator signs.

Sometimes we remember a phrase completely and we need to find it. But when looking for information in Google is important, not only the phrase, but also the site's ranking. That is, we can fully have all the words in some article, but because of the high ranking of the site, it will be higher in the search list than the fully-specified phrase in the document on the less rated site. What to do? Just correctly set the search information on Google. To do this, we use the "quotes" operator "". If the phrase is enclosed in quotation marks, then as a result of the search we get only those pages where it will appear completely. Example search:

"Mom soap frame"

If in a quote we do not remember a word, then instead of it we can put the symbol "asterisk" - *. Then the search phrase will be:

"in the forest * herringbone"

But this option does not always work for us. We remember the quote, but we do not remember the exact sequence of words. Then we use the operator-sign, which is beautifully called ampersand - &. If you write words on the search line, separated by an ampersand, then Google will only display the pages where these words are in one sentence when you search. Example:

Gem of the Gems & Cartoons & Tales

Sometimes when you search for information in Google, we need it or, conversely, do not need any words. To do this, the plus and minus signs are used - +, -, which are put before the necessary or unnecessary word without a space. Examples:

Crane + tower-buy
Monuments of Mukholovinsk-Pushkin + Chapaev + Lincoln

Of course, someone can suggest other tricks that help make information search in Google more efficient, and not only in it. We hope that these little secrets will help you quickly find the information you need, effectively train, become not only smarter, but also better to use your time. That is, to live more fully in this beautiful world.
