The melt water

The properties of melt water have long astonished the scientific world. The ideas of the Kazan scientists, put forward by them in the 20th century, which in their own way explain the mystery of thawed water, are worthy of attention.

What physical phenomenon lurks in the melt water?

Chickens and piglets were given melt water. They, surprisingly, quickly grew. What physical phenomenon lurks in the melt water? - the first thing we thought about after reading the message was the staff of the bionics laboratory of Kazan University.

There was, however, evidence that the meltwater is in a nonequilibrium state - it contains more energy than in the usual one. It's like comparing (roughly, of course) a piece of coal and a birch log of the same size - when burning, coal will give off more heat.

But why? What is the difference between waters that failed to note the finest instruments? Doctor of Biology U. Akhmerov and engineer A. Bildyukevich connect this with two different states of water: everything depends on the orientation of the nuclear spins. Here it is necessary to make a small digression to explain what spin is. This word in English means "rotation" - it means that the elementary particles rotate. As a comparison, you can choose a rotating ball. Each particle of this ball has a certain velocity V and some mass m. The product mV will give us the amount of particle motion - a concept known to high school students. But, multiplying mV by R - the distance of the particle from the center of the ball, we get a new value - the angular momentum. Summarizing these quantities for all particles, we learn the angular momentum of the entire ball. By likening it to the nucleus of hydrogen - a proton, we conditionally imagine what a spin is, the angular momentum of a proton.

Under the influence of some extraneous forces, the hydrogen nucleus can begin to rotate in the opposite direction. It, certainly, can not stop, and then again to turn - in the nature of similar stops does not happen. Just the axis around which the ball rotates, changes its orientation in space, turns over. This phenomenon is called reorientation of spin, if we are talking about elementary particles or atomic nuclei. The proton spins, which are part of the water molecules, can be directed in one direction - this is the so-called orthowater, and in opposite directions is the parawater.

So ordinary water about three quarters consists of the first and a quarter of the second. When freezing, the ratio changes - the paravets become larger. And melt water is already significantly different from the one that was not previously frozen.

Then the balance begins to recover. It was believed that instantly - at least, most scientists were inclined to this. Water can not stay in such an unstable state for long, they said. The laboratory decided that it could, and even for many hours.

Water does acquire the usual properties - but not suddenly, not quickly, but gradually. In this, probably, and hidden mystery of melt water. It is energetically more active than usual. Chickens and piglets therefore grew faster that they drank such thawed water, unlike their relatives, who were simply watered from the well.

The same explanation is advanced by A. Bildyukevich for the effect of magnetic water. After all, it is known how surprised she was in her time and continues to amaze the learned world. Water passed through the magnetic field, does not give a scale in the boilers. The sediment in the form of small crumbs falls to the bottom and is taken out. Do not build a purification plant, use chemicals, filters. In the same way, ore enrichment can be improved. And concrete with magnetic water becomes stronger.

The hypothesis of Kazan scientists says that in this case there is a shift in the equilibrium of water - only not so far as melted water. After magnetic treatment, more than one of the varieties of water becomes several percent. Witty experiments have confirmed this assumption.
